Proposal Writer

About the role

NextSource is seeking a detail-obsessed Proposal Writer to lead the development of winning responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs across the US staffing, Employer of Record (EOR), and Managed Service Provider (MSP) markets, with a strong emphasis on government and public-sector procurement (federal, state, and local / SLED). You will own proposals end to end: interpreting solicitation requirements, drafting compelling and compliant content, coordinating inputs from sales and operations, and submitting flawless, on-time bids.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze solicitations and build compliance matrices so every requirement is addressed.
• Write, edit, and tailor persuasive proposal content, executive summaries, and past-performance narratives.
• Manage submissions through US e-procurement portals and aggregators.
• Maintain a reusable proposal / boilerplate library; enforce strict formatting and deadline discipline.
• Collaborate with pricing and capture teams on rate cards, markups, and Best and Final Offers (BAFO).

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of proposal / bid writing targeting the US market in staffing, EOR, MSP, or IT services.
• Excellent English business writing and editing.
• Proven success responding to US public-sector RFPs/RFQs; a track record of submitted (ideally won) bids.
• Comfort working US-aligned hours for deadlines.

Strongly preferred / differentiators

• SAM.gov and government bid portals.
• State e-procurement (eVA, Cal eProcure, Texas ESBD) and university portals (Jaggaer, Ariba, Bonfire).
• Bid aggregators (GovWin, BidNet, Periscope).
• Set-aside / diversity certifications (MWBE, SDVOSB, SBE); FOIA / public-records for competitive intelligence.
• Higher-education procurement experience.
